Wheatfield Mid-Century Brass Sconces (Set of 2)
$400.00
Choose title
In May of 1982, the artist Agnes Denes planted a wheatfield in lower Manhattan on what would eventually become Battery Park City. Entitled "Wheatfield--A Confrontation," this 2 acre plot of land was harvested in August and it, and Denes, largely disappeared from NYC--but not before calling attention to the tension between nature and man-made structures. We're not saying Denes would approve of these mid-century brass wheat lighting sconces. We're just saying we're reminded of Denes' groundbreaking art everytime we see them. Perhaps they'll do the same for you. Sold as a pair.
